No M1 Widening Stalls

We held a joint FoE Climate & No M1 Widening stall on the Moor in the city centre on 11th March and 13th May. Besides handing out more free energy saving light bulbs we also managed to promote the No M1 widening campaign and collect signatures for the petition.


Members of Sheffield FoE also attended meetings with the Highways Agency in Leeds to discuss this issue.

A No M1 widening day of action took place by hanging banners from bridges on the M1.

May also witnessed the Roads and Climate Change public meeting at the Central united Reformed Church in Sheffield. Speakers included FoE’s nation transport campaigner, Tony Bosworth.
